Question 1

What is Ray Flash 2 540p and how does it differ from Ray 2?

Accepted Answer

Ray Flash 2 540p is Luma AI's speed-optimized video generation model that produces 5-second and 9-second videos at 540p resolution. It is faster and more cost-efficient than the full Ray 2 model while retaining Luma's core generation quality, making it ideal for rapid iteration and high-volume video production.

Question 2

What video durations does Ray Flash 2 540p support?

Accepted Answer

Ray Flash 2 540p supports two video durations: 5 seconds and 9 seconds. These dual duration options allow creators to choose the clip length that best fits their creative needs, whether for short social media clips or slightly longer narrative sequences.

Question 3

What aspect ratios are available in Ray Flash 2 540p?

Accepted Answer

Ray Flash 2 540p supports seven aspect ratios: 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16, 16:9, 9:21, and 21:9. This wide range covers portrait, landscape, square, and ultra-wide formats, making it compatible with virtually any platform including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and cinematic displays.

Question 4

Can I use images as input with Ray Flash 2 540p?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ray Flash 2 540p supports image-anchored generation, allowing you to provide optional start and/or end frames to control the visual bookends of your video. This feature gives creators precise control over how a video begins or ends while the model generates the motion in between.

Question 5

How many camera movements does Ray Flash 2 540p support?

Accepted Answer

Ray Flash 2 540p supports over 35 specific cinematic camera movements and angles. These camera concept controls let creators apply professional cinematography techniques directly to their text-to-video generations, enabling precise directorial control without manual animation or post-production work.

Question 6

Is Ray Flash 2 540p good for prototyping and high-volume video production?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ray Flash 2 540p is specifically designed for rapid iteration, cost-efficient prototyping, and high-volume video production. Its lower cost and faster generation speed compared to Ray 2 make it the preferred choice on CRAISEE for creators who need to produce many video variations quickly without sacrificing Luma's generation quality.

Question 7

Does Ray Flash 2 540p support seamless loop video creation?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Ray Flash 2 540p includes a seamless loop creation feature that generates videos where the last frame matches the first frame. This enables smooth, continuous playback ideal for background videos, animated banners, social media loops, and any content requiring uninterrupted cyclic motion.

Question 8

What is the compute architecture behind Ray Flash 2 540p?

Accepted Answer

Ray Flash 2 540p is built on Luma AI's multi-modal architecture featuring a 10x compute scale increase over Ray 1. This enhanced architecture enables coherent motion synthesis, realistic physics simulation of liquids and particles, photorealistic detail rendering, and effective visualization of surrealist or abstract creative concepts.
