Question 1

What does Luma Modify Video do?

Accepted Answer

Luma Modify Video is a video-to-video AI model that transforms existing footage using text prompts and style transfer. You provide a source video and a description of the desired look — such as noir, vintage, or neon — and the model outputs a modified version without altering the original file.

Question 2

What are the three adherence modes in Luma Modify Video?

Accepted Answer

Luma Modify Video offers Adhere, Flex, and Reimagine modes. Adhere keeps the output closely aligned with the original footage. Flex allows moderate creative interpretation. Reimagine gives the model maximum freedom to dramatically transform the visual style while retaining the underlying motion and structure.

Question 3

What video formats and file sizes does Luma Modify Video support?

Accepted Answer

Luma Modify Video accepts source videos up to 100 MB in file size and up to 30 seconds in duration. This range covers most short-form and social media content needs, making it practical for Instagram Reels, TikTok clips, YouTube Shorts, and similar formats.

Question 4

Can I control the visual direction of the output in Luma Modify Video?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Beyond text prompts, you can supply a custom first frame to anchor the visual direction of the entire modified video. This first-frame anchoring feature lets you set a specific color palette, composition, or aesthetic that the model uses as a reference throughout the transformation.

Question 5

How is Luma Modify Video different from text-to-video generation?

Accepted Answer

Luma Modify Video is a video-to-video model, meaning it transforms existing footage rather than generating video from scratch. It preserves the original motion, timing, and structure of your source clip while applying new styles or moods — making it ideal for repurposing content rather than creating it from nothing.

Question 6

What are the best use cases for Luma Modify Video?

Accepted Answer

Best use cases include refreshing social media clips with new visual styles, simulating cinematic film aesthetics on raw footage, applying consistent brand visuals across multiple videos, and reimagining scenes for creative or artistic projects. It is especially useful when reshooting is not an option but a visual overhaul is needed.

Question 7

How many times has Luma Modify Video been used on Craisee?

Accepted Answer

Luma Modify Video has logged over 13,900 runs on Craisee, making it one of the platform's most actively used video transformation tools. This high usage reflects its versatility and reliability for creators working across social media, film, and brand content production.

Question 8

Is the original video preserved when using Luma Modify Video?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Luma Modify Video follows a non-destructive workflow. The source video is never altered; the model generates a completely new output file independently. This means you can experiment with different prompts or adherence modes without any risk of overwriting or damaging your original footage.
